THE CHALLENGE
Design and manufacture a whistle using CNC milling
ME 318: Computer Aided Manufacturing
With this project, I wanted to explore using wax as a workholding method for CNC machining. After extensive lateral brainstorming I chose a whistle form because it was playful, and the symmetry helped minimize the number of part flips I would have to do with our 3-Axis CNC machine.
